Biglia Spa presents at EMO Biglia Cloud Turning powered by Alleantia, the first Internet-of-Things solution to reduce the production costs of machine tools.
Energy measures are an important indicator for both plant and production efficiency. Specifically in manufacturing, the energy cost of each produced part is generally unknown in detail, as it is calculated through aggregated data. Precise accounting entries could instead be very useful, for example, for contractors, while lack of information, above all, hides opportunities for reducing costs and optimize production, and make Enterprises, especially SME, more competitive.
Biglia Cloud Turning, the first ready-to-use Internet-of-Things solution, is a fully integrated system, accessible from mobile devices and the Web, providing to the operator real-time indicators for immediate understanding of total and partial energy usage for individual pieces, with trends and efficiency ratios. The system makes also available operation and efficiency information for the turning center and its auxiliary components, usable for off-line analysis.
Along with the on-board system, the IOOT Factory application will be available. IOOT Factory is a web application that aggregates under a single view all owned and connected Biglia machines, both within a single plant and distributed across multiple production sites. It provides a remote view of the machines status, backup of collected data from each machine, comparison of operations and usage among multiple machines working the same piece, and extensive statistical analysis, with information details dependent on system version (Basic or PRO).
