Nandaja Varma Nandakumar

DevOps Engineer

After getting my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering, majoring in operating systems design, my engineering career has been very diverse like is the world of programming. Starting as a full stack engineer straight out of university, I developed an interest in automating tasks efficiently and building developer friendly tools. This paved the way for me getting into RedHat as a Systems Engineer doing some core C programming. Being a FOSS activist, I spent the next year being a part of a distributed web project under Cambridge University, developing a protocol to do anonymous search on a completely decentralized overlay network. Following this, I spent a wonderful year globe trotting and being a part of the wonderful Recurse Center community in New York, shortly after which a higher education opportunity brought me to Milan.

In 2018, I was presented with this amazing opportunity to be a part of the Quick Algorithm family as a DevOps Engineer. The vision and passion of Jacopo Piana, our brilliant founder, to build a company providing the most efficient data driven solutions, delivered in the smartest way possible, really made me buckle up for this exciting ride named Quick Algorithm. Even after two years, every day I start my work excited about the next cool thing I am going to build with my extremely brilliant colleagues. To know that each professional decision I make with my dear teammates can have a huge impact on the course of development of the company, is something that brings me the atmost satisfaction and a pleasant commitment towards this lovely startup.
