New Generation Sensors (NGS)

New Generation Sensors S.r.l. (NGS) is an Italian start-up company established in 2015 as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA, http://www.santannapisa.it/en) and of CNIT (http://www.cnit.it/en/). NGS has a strong expertise in the development of advanced wireless systems in accordance to the Internet of Things vision. The company is supported by a technical advisory board from the SSSA. The expertise of the group goes from embedded devices development, IoT protocols to digital platforms and embedded signal processing and computer vision. Additionally, a strong network of developers supported the small core team in mantaining a high degree of business flexibility together with with a wide range of expert capacities and a high-quality product.

NGS is currently focusing its efforts on the development of smart solutions for the Factory 4.0, continuing the path started with the ENEL Smart Plant. Indeed, this deal included the deployment of 100 sensors in the Federico II power plant in Brindisi (Italy) and the starting of a testbed at VISA srl. On the other hand, NGS has recently signed a contract with AVR (https://www.avrgroup.it/) for installing Smart IoT Sensors on FI-PI-LI motorway (https://goo.gl/NgKXRA).

At last, the team has experience on Horizon 2020 projects since it has successfully coordinated the BEinCPPs experiment called Smart PlantOne, which was selected for the SME-Instruments Phase 1, and it is participating to the ICONET project (selected in the MG-2017) in the domain of the Logistics 4.0, with the PoC shown at the 2016 ETSI plugtest in Livorno.
