Director Ehrenberg-Bass Institute
I am an old-fashioned scientist (known for research that seeks to discover and describe law-like patterns). But I study a 'new' area – marketing (buying behaviour and brand growth).
My book "How Brands Grow", Oxford University Press is the first to present scientific laws and what they mean for marketing strategy.

I have the pleasure of directing the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute at the University of South Australia Business School. The world's largest research institute studying marketing.
The Institute is staffed by 50+ gifted researchers. Their pioneering and valuable work is supported by corporations around the globe such as Mars, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Coca-Cola, HSBC and others.
My collaborative discoveries are published in Institute reports for our sponsors, and international academic journals. I currently serve on the editorial boards of 5 journals.
