Innovation is the beating heart of the food industry and, of course, one of the main historical assets of Cibus. Product innovations, digitalization, Artificial Intelligence applied to food... but not only that: this year, Cibus dedicates a vast area to these hot topics, spanning the entire Hall 7 and named "Cibus delle Idee" (which translates to “Nurturing Ideas”).

The core of this section is the T_OWN project, a special "supermarket of ideas" where there are no products exhibited, but mock-ups of imaginary food items that tell about company projects dedicated to the supply chain, inclusion, conscious consumption, and socio-environmental sustainability. In this experiential section, each visitor becomes a true protagonist and takes part into a game, aimed at choosing the most significant idea or project for a sustainable future.

 

“Cibus delle Idee” provides a bunch of innovative and unconventional experiences, focused on several hot topics, such as:

- ESG: the section T_OWN, powered by T_OOL (University of Parma), collects 12 sustainable projects realized by the exhibitors;

- product innovation: the traditional Cibus Innovation Corner is back to the show, featuring its selection of 100 highly innovative products destined to set trends in the near future; this section explores 6 different hot trends and is developed in collaboration with Gruppo Food and with the technical support Retail Modeling;

- Artificial Intelligence, digital applications, circular economy, but also traceability of supply chains, biodiversity monitoring, Agriculture 4.0 and 5.0, and other innovations in the AgriFood sector. These are the pillars of our Cibus Start-Up Area powered by Le Village by Crédit Agricole and with the support of ITA – Italian Trade Agency. The section is focused on innovative projects made by small and medium-sized enterprises from all over Italy;

- matching between supply and demand for highly specialized jobs: Cibus Talent Academy is a new area powered by Cisita Parma where food companies, in collaboration with specialized institutions, create high-specialization training paths and projects specially conceived for introducing young talents in the food industry.
