IN THE TRUFFLE HUB, THE SHOWCASE OF THE BEST OF PIEDMONT 

The Castello di Roddi will welcome chefs, raw ingredients and producers from all over the Region, also hosting the cooking school and all kinds of digital experiences

Last year it was great news and this year, Roddi's Truffle Hub has been confirmed the protagonist of the 91st edition of the International Alba White Truffle Fair. With the help of an important investment of the Piedmont Region, the ancient castle has come back to life, projecting itself towards the future - thanks to the collaboration with Microsoft Italy - as a territorial digital hub. Embellished with furnishings of the Italian design brand Gufram, with tables set with Frette tablecloths, a leading company in luxury household linen, and the kitchen equipment and mise en place contributed by the Sambonet Rosenthal Paderno group, the rooms belonging to the Castle are ready to welcome excellences of international cuisine, accompanied by his majesty the Alba White Truffle, in a series of high profile events in which entertainment, culture and great sensory experiences come together, giving life to a calendar worthy of being discovered.

Here, the Fair Authority offers visitors experiences of great quality and charm, in a place rich in history. The Roddi Castle thus becomes a virtual headquarters, through which the territory and the whole of Piedmont interact with the world, offering an experience of contamination between history, culture, art, food and wine, for a digital showcase of the best of Piedmont.

In a formula that will alternate on-site meetings, at the Truffle Hub in Roddi, and itineraries in the Piedmont area, the collaboration between the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba  and VisitPiemonte, the DMO of the Piedmont Region is strengthened.

Starting from Monday October 25th, on a weekly basis, the Castle will host activities aiming to enhance the products and recipes of each Piedmontese province, always in combination with the Alba White Truffle: six thematic dinners will involve starred chefs from this area called to interpret the main traditional agri-food products, supplied by the Piedmontese ATLs, to promote the gastronomic culture of this area on national and international levels.

The Piedmontese provinces will also be protagonists every Tuesday evening, starting from October 26th, with a series of dinners at starred restaurants and tastings organized in collaboration with the Regional Enotecas, where the Alba White Truffle will meet with local products and chefs.

The Castello di Roddi will also host the Cooking School in person. Through theoretical-practical courses, it will teach some of the most representative traditional recipes of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero and the iconic dishes of important national chefs. From 10.00 to 12.30, the guests will have the opportunity to enjoy eight Mondays in the company of as many chefs who will reveal their secrets working in seven sets (individual or double) of the school complete with all the necessary equipment for the theoretical and practical development of the lesson. The experience will end with the tasting of the recipe studied and cooked, with some Alba White Truffle and a glass of wine. Each participant will be given a Frette kitchen apron with the logo of the International Alba White Truffle Fair, the recipe made with the chef and the booklet "All about the Alba White Truffle". The course has a limited number of participants allowed, a maximum attendance of 14 people, in compliance with the spacing provided for by the anti Covid-19 legislation.

This is the calendar, with the chefs who will take the chair for the eight Saturdays during the Fair: October 11th Alessandro Boglione, October 18th Pasquale Laera, October 25th Luca Zecchin, November 1st Flavio Costa, November 8th Francesco Marchese, November 15th Andrea Larossa, November 22nd Eugenio Boer and November 29th Fulvio Siccardi.
