UNIDO ITPO Italy presente a Seeds&Chips 2018
Milano, 7-10 Maggio 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy rinnova la sua partecipazione all’evento internazionale Seeds&Chips - Global Food Innovation Summit, che si terrà al MiCo di Milano dal 7 al 10 maggio 2018.
Il Summit riunisce alcuni tra i più influenti attori e investitori nel mondo dell’innovazione agricola ed agroalimentare, favorendo la condivisione delle migliori pratiche e tecnologie relative al modo in cui il cibo viene prodotto, trasformato, distribuito e consumato. In occasione della terza edizione, nel 2017, hanno partecipato oltre 240 esibitori, 15.800 visitatori e più di 300 speakers internazionali, tra cui l’ex Presidente degli Stati Uniti d’America Barack Obama.
Quest’anno Seeds&Chips intende confermare e rafforzare il suo impegno, grazie alla presenza di personaggi di altissimo prestigio, quali Howard Schultz, Amministratore Delegato e Fondatore di Starbucks e John F. Kerry, ex Segretario di Stato USA, rafforzando il focus sui paesi in via di sviluppo grazie al supporto di UNIDO ITPO Italy.
In tale contesto, UNIDO ITPO Italy apporterà un rinnovato contributo al perseguimento degli ambiziosi obiettivi del Summit. L’Ufficio, infatti, ha coorganizzato la prima edizione del contest internazionale sull’acqua WaterFirst, volta a identificare e premiare le soluzioni più innovative per i Paesi in via di Sviluppo nel campo della gestione, approvvigionamento e conservazione delle risorse idriche.
Inoltre, UNIDO ITPO Italy interverrà nella Conferenza “Innovation in Tradition for Sustainable Food System”, coorganizzata in collaborazione con il Ministero Italiano degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale e altri partner, quali la FAO, Illy e ActionAid, evento che prevedrà un forte focus anche sulle attività di UNIDO a supporto di progetti di cooperazione allo sviluppo nel campo agribusiness, con un’attenzione particolare al Mozambico.
Infine, nel quadro del progetto “Support to Mozambique´s SMEs in Investment Promotion”, uNIDO ITPO Italy è fiero di aver organizzato il primo stand espositivo in Seeds&Chips di una delegazione africana composta da imprese startups Mozabicane nel settore dell’agribusiness. Sempre in occasione di Seeds&Chips UNIDO ITPO Italy ha supportato anche la visita ufficiale in Italia della Vice Ministra dell’Agricoltura e della Sicurezza Alimentare della Repubblica del Mozambico SE Luisa Celma Meque.
Nel suo ruolo di honest broker impegnato a favorire la condivisione di conoscenza e tecnologie a beneficio dei paesi in via di sviluppo, UNIDO ITPO Italy e Seeds&Chips lavorano ormai da 3 anni come partner nell’affrontare le sfide globali legate alla nutrizione e all’innovazione tecnologica. L’impegno dell’ufficio di Roma su tematiche così centrali per i paesi in via di sviluppo rappresenta un importante risultato e un promettente passo in avanti ulteriore per garantire crescita sostenibile e sviluppo inclusivo a livello mondiale.

Milan, 7-10 May 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy will participate again in the inspiring international event “Seeds&Chips”, the Global Food Innovation Summit which will be held be held at MiCo, in Milan, from the 7th to 10th of May.
The Summit brings together some of the most influential actors and investors in the field of food innovation to share their best practices and technologies regarding the way food is produced, transformed, distributed, consumed and experienced. In 2017, Seeds&Chips welcomed 240 exhibitors, 15,800 qualified visitors and over 300 international speakers, such as Former USA President Barack Obama
This year Seeds&Chips is expected to confirm and strengthen its commitment, enriched by outstanding speakers, such as Howard Schultz–Executive Chairman of Starbucks and John F. Kerry – former U.S. Secretary of State.
UNIDO ITPO Italy will bring an even greater contribution to the fulfillment of the Summit’s ambitious goals. The Office has acted as co-organizer of WaterFirst!, an international competition aimed at identifying and awarding the most innovative solutions for Developing Countries in the field of water management.

Moreover, within the framework of our ongoing successful project Project “Support to Mozambique´s SMEs in Investment Promotion”, our Office is flattered to sponsor the first exhibiting booth at Seeds&Chips of an African delegation composed of agribusiness startups. Within the same context, it’s worth mentioning that UNIDO ITPO Italy will organize also the Official Visit in Italy of the Mozambican Vice Minister of Agriculture and Food Security HE Luisa Celma Meque.
