Dialogo tra Botswana e Italia sulle Energie Rinnovabili
Gaborone, 5-6 Luglio 2017 - A Gaborone, in Botswana, si è svolto un Dialogo sulle Energie Rinnovabili tra Botswana e Italia con lo scopo di supportare il governo del Botswana nell’identificazione e nella promozione di nuovi investimenti e opportunità di trasferimento tecnologico nel settore delle energie rinnovabili.
UNIDO ITPO Italy si è impegnato nell’identificare le tecnologie adeguate ed il know how nella catena produzione industriale solare, che potrebbe supportare il Botswana nella realizzazione dell’Obiettivo per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile numero sette, ovvero “Assicurare la disponibilità di servizi energetici accessibili, affidabili, sostenibili e moderni per tutti”.
Un totale di otto aziende con tecnologie e soluzioni avanzate hanno accettato la sfida di essere parte del progetto e di recarsi a Gaborone, in Botswana; tali aziende si collocano nei seguenti campi della catena industriale del settore solare: certificazione e controlli (ALBARUBENS); sistemi di stoccaggio (FAAM, FZSONICK); concentrated solar power e capacity building (CONSORTIUM ARCA); realizzazione di progetti con tecnologie solari (CRETA ENERGIE, ENEL, GEA/GEASCO, Offgrid Sun Srl).
Come risultato le aziende italiane hanno avuto l’opportunità il 5 luglio di prendere parte ad una visita sul campo del progetto pilota del Grid Tight Photovoltaic System a Phakalane, condotto dalla Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) e un progetto pilota connesso al Grid di 20MW a Mololodi, per stabilire un dialogo con i centri innovativi del Botswana per le energie rinnovabili: il Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI), il Botswana Innovation Hub e Università del Botswana e infine con l’Amministratore Delegato (AD) della Botswana Power Corporation.
Il 6 giugno ha avuto luogo il dialogo tra il Botswana e l’Italia sulle energie rinnovabili, durante il quale le aziende italiane hanno presentato le loro soluzioni tecnologiche ad un totale di 135 persone presso il Gaborone International Convention Center of Botswana; l’evento ha riunito importanti rappresentanti industriali, i direttori delle associazioni del settore privato e i più importanti ricercatori del Botswana. L’inaugurazione ha visto la partecipazione del dott. Tshekedi Khama, Ministro dell’Ambiente del Botswana e del dott. Francesco La Camera, Direttore Generale del Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare italiano.
Tale evento è stato il risultato di uno sforzo congiunto di UNIDO ITPO Italy, Business Botswana (BB), Botswana Investment and Trade Center(BITC), Solar Industries Association of Botswana (SIAB) con il supporto del Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare italiano e del Ministero dell’Ambiente, della Tutela delle Risorse Naturali e del Turismo del Botswana.

Gaborone, 5-6 July 2017 - In Gaborone, Botswana a Renewable Energy Dialogue between Botswana and Italy took place with the aim to support the Botswana Government in identifying and promoting new investment and technology transfer opportunities in renewable energy sector.
UNIDO ITPO Italy developes efforts to identify the adequate technologies and know how in the solar industrial chain of production that could support Botswana in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal, number 7th “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”.
A total of eight Italian companies with technologies and key solutions took the challenge to be part of the project and travel to Gaborone, Botswana, this companies are in the following area of the industrial chain of the solar sector: certification and testing (ALBARUBENS); storage systems(FAAM, FZSONICK); Concentrated Solar Power and Capacity building (CONSORTIUM ARCA); Design of Projects with Solar Technologies (CRETA ENERGIE, ENEL, GEA/GEASCO, Offgrid Sun Srl)
As result the Italian companies had the opportunity on the 5th of July to develop a field visit to the pilot project for Grid Tight Photovoltaic System in Phakalane run by Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) and to a Pilot Project connected to the Grid of 20MW in Mokolodi, to establish dialogue with the Innovation centres of Botswana in Renewable Energy: Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI), Botswana Innovation Hub and with the University of Botswana and finally with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Botswana Power Corporation.
During the 6thof July the dialogue took place between Botswana and Italy in Renewable Energy were the Italian Companies present their technological solutions to a total of 135 persons in the Gaborone International Convention Centre of Botswana among the Batswana participants where the most important industrial representatives, the head of the private sector associations and the most renamed researcher of Botswana. During the Inauguration we have the participation of honourable Mr. Tshekedi Khama, Ministry of Environment of Botswana and Mr. Francesco La Camera, Director General of the Italian Minister of Environment Land and Sea.
This event is the result of a joining effort between UNIDO ITPO Italy, Business Botswana (BB), Botswana Investment and Trade Center(BITC), Solar Industries Association of Botswana (SIAB) with the support of the Italian Ministry of Environment Land and Sea (IMELS) and of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism of Botswana.
