Pablo Trincia
Podcaster, Autore e Scrittore
I'm a Milan-based author, journalist and podcaster who has spent the past 19 years travelling in Italy and around the world to cover investigative stories.
I've had my longest gig (2009-17) with a popular Italian Tv program called Le Iene: a group of muckraking journalists dressed in black, who cover and uncover stories of all sorts.
As a member of the team, I've travelled throughout four continents, reporting mainly on wars, drugs, kidnappings, and other crime stories in Europe, Africa, Asia and America.
In 2016 I started an independent series of documentaries on drugs on the internet with a website called Fanpage.it
The series is called "Toxicity". Two of the three episodes ("Zombies of Nairobi" and "Hitler's Drug") are available in English.
In 2014-15 I've been working for a year as a special correspondent for a tv program called Servizio Pubblico, where I wrote three long documentaries on the Ebola crisis, an investigation on an abduction of a child in an Isis stronghold in Syria and one on internet dependency.
I have been working as a journalist since 2003, after graduating in African and Development Studies at London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), where I developed an interest in African and Asian languages.
I worked for a couple of years as the Africa editor for an online magazine called Peacereporter, from 2005 to 2009 I've been a freelance writer working for a number of newspapers and magazines in Italy, Germany and the UK.
I'm fluent in English and I know 7 more languages including my mother tongue, Italian: French, Spanish, German, Kiswahili, Wolof, Hindi.
