LOVEThESIGN signs a partnership with iconic brand ALESSI, strengthens its role as the leading home decor e-commerce in Italy and plans to open in the US in 2015
LOVEThESIGN has signed a partnership with iconic tableware brand ALESSI – from October 2014 a selection of premium products and new items by Alessi will be on sale on the leading e-commerce for home design in Italy. This is not the only exclusive new entry in LOVEThESIGN’s catalogue in the second half of 2014: also FONTANA ARTE, MAGIS, FLOS and MDF ITALIA have joined it recently. In just two years of life LOVEThESIGN has gone from a self-funded startup to being a major player on the market thanks to the love for good designs, the creativity and the sound management and strategy of its founders – Laura Angius, Vincenzo Cannata and Simone Panfilo. Today LOVEThESIGN represents the best of Italian manufacture in Italy and across Europe.

In Autumn 2014 the company announced an imminent expansion overseas. After starting market analysis in September, LOVEThESIGN has planned its official launch on the US market for 2015, meaning to become the reference point for design lovers from New York City to San Francisco (and everything inbetween). “After Italy and Europe, the United States represent the natural development of our strategy in terms of globally spreading the Italian design culture”, states Laura Angius, co-founder.

- Last October the website underwent a thorough visual restyling, meant to make the shopping experience even easier and more pleasant. Clearer sections for finding assistance, enhanced search features, enriched editorial content, added browsing categories are just a few of the new features of the website.
- LOVEThESIGN’s mobile app, introduced in 2014, reached 70k downloads. Starting August 2014 it has been featured amongst the five best apps in Italy according to the Apple Store editorial team. This story of success can be easily linked to a figure – minimum 35% of the total purchases on LOVEThESIGN happens via mobile app.
