Authometion is a high tech start-up, established in September 2014 and headquartered in Anagni (Italy).

Our mission is to change the smart home market by offering innovative IoT (Internet of Things) devices and services, thought to be affordable and easy to use for the largest share of users, thus allowing a massive penetration of Smart Home solutions.

The product development roadmap started at the end of 2012, when the team has entered the Maker Market (B2D) with several prototypes and products, offering small and powerful Wi-Fi based and cloud-enabled micro controllers completely developed in-house and compatible with Arduino (the world's largest open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software) for a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Then, we focused our R&D effort on the production of Smart devices able to collect and analyse data, aimed to provide innovative services to the consumer.

This has stemmed the LYT SONIC concept, the first smart light-bulb able to pair home security with smart lighting functionalities.

Our plan is to enter the market with simple, affordable, reliable and intuitive solutions ranging from smart lighting to smart security and ambient assisted living solutions, in order to progressively roll-out a host of products and dedicated services.

The beach-head product that will underpin our strategy is LYT Sonic, a smart LED bulb endowed with an innovative sub-sound detection technology, which allows delivering home security services through a simple and familiar object, which fits any standard lamp-holder.

Leveraging on our R&D activities on sub-sound signals, we managed to develop a novel device able to capture the characteristics noise generated during a burglary event, providing the user with a real time alarm in case of a security breach.

LYT Sonic will also serve as a hub to connect other smart home devices, enabling the control of both the alarm system and home lighting.

The users will benefit from immediate installation and easy portability, laffordable and total coverage of the house (up to 150 m2 with a single light bulb), which is predicted to capture a relevant customers’ base in the young and middle-age tech savvy population.

In designing the LYT SONIC product, we have leveraged our competitive advantage on the use of the innovative sub-sound technology through proprietary algorithms, which enable to precisely identify the environment to be protected and detect burglar attempts through the typical infrasound produced when forcing a door or a window.

The company’s team is now counting on 5 people, including 2 senior executives taking care of product development, marketing management, social media marketing and financial management, as well as 3 researchers devoted to the R&D and engineering effort.
