THE LIVING ROOM OF TASTES AND SCENTS

A special space, in Piazza Risorgimento, to get to know and taste the finest Piedmont culinary specialties, agri-food and more

An elegant pavilion, located in Piazza Risorgimento right in front of the Alba Cathedral, welcomes the best of Piedmont specialties, agri-food and more, from October 3rd to December 8th.

Through sensory experiences, workshops and educational paths, the Salotto dei Gusti e dei Profumi guides visitors on a path focused on the different productions, local products and territorial Geographical Indications that depart from the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero to reach the rest of  Piedmont.

3-4 OCTOBER: FOLKLORE LIVING ROOM

An anticipation of the specialties that will alternate in the Salotto dei Gusti e dei Profumi will be offered by the Salotto del Folklore, in which a story will be presented on the history of the Palio and the Giostra delle Centro Torri. To enrich the event, there will also be brief re-enactments in medieval costume on the main squares of the historic city center and, around the Duomo, the Palio degli Asini. This year the race will be held behind closed doors, recorded and broadcast live on institutional channels.

11 OCTOBER | MINIMARKET - ALBAROMATIC IN BRIEF

A micro-edition of Albaromatica, an event now in its 15th edition, dedicated to the discovery of aromatic herbs and spices in their most disparate uses, will take place inside the Salotto dei Gusti e dei Profumi in Piazza Risorgimento, with a selected representation of the products. In addition to the product counters, educational workshops and sensorial installations will complete the public's journey through essences and perfumes.

OCTOBER 17-18 | THE ITALY OF CHEESE

Once again the Salotto in Piazza Risorgimento will host the collaboration between Onaf and the Consortium for the Protection of Murazzano Dop Cheese, which will be offered for tasting during the Fair’s opening hours over the weekend. Onaf, faithful to its mission of propagator of all-around dairy culture, will also be pleased to host PDO cheeses from other areas of Italy, in collaboration with the respective protection consortia.

31 OCTOBER - 1 NOVEMBER | PIEDMONT HAZELNUT I.G.P. HIGH LANGA. THE BEST IN THE WORLD
The event celebrates a world-famous product of excellence that attracts a high-level international audience and represents a very prestigious opportunity to present the Alta Langa and the characteristics of the Piedmont Hazelnut I.G.P. which, as scientifically demonstrated, are superior for sweetness, intense taste, aroma, persistence and shelf life.

7-8 NOVEMBER - 21-22 NOVEMBER | LIVING ROOM OF DELICACIES
Confartigianato Imprese Cuneo also confirms its presence this year at the prestigious International Alba White Truffle Fair. In the year dedicated to the Creators of Excellence – dessert artists, pastry chefs, chocolatiers and ice cream makers will be the protagonists of the "Salotto delle golosità" on 7-8 and 21-22 November, in the central Piazza Risorgimento. By combining tradition and innovation, local products and craftsmanship, visitors will be accompanied to discover the flavors and typical sweets of Cuneo. The collaboration with the prestigious Piedmont grappas also continues.

NOVEMBER 14-15 | CAMPAGNA AMICA DAY

The undisputed protagonists of the weekend are agri-food specialties: in Piazza Risorgimento there will be an important cross-section of Made in Italy agriculture that is preparing to tell its story through the faces, hands and voices of agricultural producers who will welcome people from Alba and tourists.

NOVEMBER 28-29 | PANETTONI UNDER THE TOWERS
The event that involves the artisan pastry shops of the area that produce fresh panettone, without preservatives, made according to a technical regulation with specific ingredients, in the established proportions and following the techniques of craftsmanship, is back again this year. A weekend dedicated to protecting a product of excellence known all over the world as a dessert - a symbol of the Christmas holidays, which is talked about both abroad and in Italy.

5-6-7-8 DECEMBER | NIGHTS OF NATIVITY: THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS BEGINS
This year the Christmas events cut the ribbon in the last weekend of the Truffle Fair. The Salotto dei Gusti e dei Profumi is transformed into "Casa Claus", the headquarters of Santa Claus in Alba where, on weekends until December 20, young and old will be able to meet Santa and Mother Christmas and attend musical performances and entertainment in company of their staff of elves, the Reindeer Rudolf and many other beloved protagonists of the world of fantasy. Throughout the first long weekend, the Christmas Sweets Market will be set up on the cathedral square, a cheerful and colorful market of stalls decorated with lights and garlands, where you can discover the best specialties of the Piedmont and Italian Christmas tradition, prepared by the pastry chefs and bakers of the territory and by the cooks of the city boroughs.
