THE ALBA WHITE TRUFFLE WILL BE THE STAR OF THE TABLE, FOR THE 90th EDITION DINNERS

Unusual, thematic dinners and the Alba Truffle Club will offer the opportunity to better savor
the culinary specialties of Piedmont

There’s no doubt that there is only one way to celebrate the Alba White Truffle: at the table. This is why, as a corollary of the many events dedicated to the Tuber magnatum Pico, Dinners had to be a part of the program this year, on the territory as well as “on the road”, to honor the theme of this 90th  edition in the best way possible. 

A welcome confirmation of the innovations introduced during the past edition, to enrich the offer of the International Alba White Truffle Fair 2020 are the Unusual Dinners, privileged opportunities to discover historical and cultural places of the City of Alba and the territory through excellent dining offered by starred chefs from all over Italy. There are three convivial events this year in which the historical and artistic testimonies of the area blend with today’s taste, the result of the inspiration of the most talented chefs on the national scene.

There are three appointments on the calendar, two in Alba and one in the new location of the Roddi Castle, home of the Truffle Hub this year. The first confirmed name is the Cerea Brothers, who will take the stage of the Giorgio Busca Social Theater in Alba on Friday October 16th: a small audience of curious and passionate gourmets, at 7.30 pm, will be able to participate in a special guided tour to discover the Theater – a building with unique architecture, whose stage overlooks two separate ballrooms -, before appreciating the dinner prepared by the chefs of the three-starred restaurant "Da Vittorio" in Brusaporto (BG). 

The Alba White Truffle will also be offered in the renovated Roddi Castle - at the Truffle Hub, in combination with the most representative culinary specialties of the whole region, cooked by great chefs who will alternate in the kitchen in different encounters -, to reach the most prestigious tables from all over Piedmont and all of Italy. 

There will also be numerous other opportunities, open to all gourmets, to better enjoy the culinary excellence of the Piedmont tradition. The first possibility is to participate in Thematic Dinners, whose purpose is the enhancement of the regional food and wine heritage. The Castello di Roddi will host a series of events aimed at enhancing the food and wine specialties of the Region, introduced directly by the producers and transformed into masterpieces by the expert hands of the best chefs on the national scene. The absolute protagonist of this format will, of course, be the Alba White Truffle, paired with products of excellence from the regional scene.

To celebrate the 90th  edition in the best possible way, a special event will take place on  November 13th at the only Three Michelin Star restaurant in the Piedmont area, with an exclusive event that will feature Enrico Crippa at his "Piazza Duomo" in Alba.
