UNIDO ITPO Italy alla Conferenza "IRAN: Quali opportunità per le imprese italiane?"
Sondrio, 14 marzo 2017. ITPO Italia ha partecipato al convegno “IRAN: Quali opportunità per le imprese italiane?” organizzato dalla banca Popolare di Sondrio nella Sala conferenze della sua sede di Sondrio. L’evento prevedeva inoltre il collegamento in video-conferenza presso numerose sedi distaccate della Banca Popolare di Sondrio nel Nord e Centro Italia, per un totale di più di 300 aziende registrate.
L’evento si è concentrato sulla presentazione delle numerose opportunità di investimento nel paese, soprattutto alla luce della recente rimozione delle sanzioni economiche. Tra i principali relatori, che hanno sottolineato le grandi opportunità e le sfide relative all’investimento in Iran, segnaliamo gli interventi di Fabrizio Sala, Vice presidente della regione Lombardia; Amir Masoud Miri, Console Generale della Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran a Milano; Pierluigi D’Agata, Segretario generale della Camera di Commercio e Industria Italo-Iraniana; e Andrea Goldstein, Managing Director di Nomisma-Osservatorio Iran.
In questo contesto, UNIDO ITPO Italia ha presentato il progetto di “Supporto alle PMI in Iran attraverso la promozione degli investimenti e trasferimento tecnologico in energia e ambiente”, per il quale è stata scelta come agenzia di implementazione dal Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare della Repubblica Italiana, a seguito della firma di un Memorandum d’Intesa e un Piano d’Azione con il Dipartimento dell’Ambiente iraniano in relazione ai temi della cooperazione per la protezione ambientale e lo sviluppo sostenibile, in linea con gli impegni intrapresi nell’ambito della Conferenza ONU sui cambiamenti climatici di Parigi del 2015 – COP 21.
La missione ha fornito allo staff di UNIDO ITPO Italy l’opportunità di interagire con la numerosa comunità imprenditoriale presente, e di fornire informazioni sulle attività previste nella fase di implementazione del progetto, a supporto degli investimenti e del trasferimento di tecnologia nel settore energetico in Iran.

UNIDO ITPO Italy to the Conference "Which opportunities for Italian companies in Iran?"
Sondrio, 14 March 2017. – UNIDO ITPO Italy participated in the country presentation entitled “IRAN: which opportunities for Italian companies?” organized by Banca Popolare di Sondrio in its Headquarters in Sondrio. The conference was also broadcasted, via video conference, in a multitude of branch offices of Banca Popolare di Sondrio in northern and center Italy, for a total of more than 300 companies registered for the event.
The conference focused on the presentation of the numerous opportunities of investment in the Islamic republic of Iran, especially since the recent removal of the economic sanctions. Among the main speakers, we can underline the interventions of Mr. Mario Erba, Deputy Director General of Banca Popolare di Sondrio; Mr. Fabrizio Sala, Deputy President of the Lombardy region; Mr. Amid Masoud Miri, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Milan; Mr. Pierluigi D’Agata, Secretary general of the Italian-Iranain Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Mr. Andrea Goldstein, Managing Director of Nomisma-Osservatorio Iran.
In this context, UNIDO ITPO Italy presented the project entitled ”Support to Iran’s SMEs through investment promotion and technology transfer in energy and environment”, to be implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy and funded by Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea in agreement with the Iranian Department of Environment.
The participation to the conference provided to UNIDO ITPO Italy staff the opportunity to interact with the entrepreneurial community present on site and disseminate information on the project’s activities plan, with the objective to identify and promote a portfolio of sustainable investment and technology transfer opportunities in selected renewable energy and environment sectors, in order to support new investments in Iran and provide opportunities for technological upgrading of local SMEs operating in the sectors of interest.
