Matteo Alessi was born in Verbania, Italy, not far from the Alessi factory near Lake Orta in 1978. He studied for a Master degree in Economics at the Milan University Bocconi where he graduated in 2002 before joining watch company Breil in the International Marketing department.
He joined Alessi, the family company in 2004 as Managing Director of Alessi U.K.
At the beginning of 2008 Matteo moved back to Alessi headquarters in Crusinallo, Italy, where he assumed
his new position as Trade Marketing and International Development Director.
In the same year Matteo and his wife, Daniela, had twins Annalisa and Giacomo.
In 2010, their third child, Carolina, was born.
At the end of 2011, due to a reorganization of the activities in the foreign markets, Matteo has taken over the role as Executive Vice President of International Sales & Development with the specific role to look after the development and sales activities of the Alessi network within Europe and, starting from beginning of 2014, USA and Canada.
