Rainer has been working with SBB since July 2015. He is now in charge of Switzerland’s most downloaded mobile application, SBB mobile. Currently he is busy implementing a new public community driven development strategy for the next SBB Mobile Preview application. Before joining SBB he was working at Swisscom and Sunrise in various product and project management roles for products like Mobile ID or Swisscom TV and Swisscom Internet solutions.
Rainer has a Master of Science obtained in 2001 at University of Lausanne (HEC) in Management and IT. While studying he also did an Erasmus exchange in Madrid, Spain at University Pontificias Comillas. Currently he is attending an Executive MBA curriculum in Business Engineering at University of St.Gallen. Rainer’s hobbies are traveling, jogging and snowboarding, besides of course being a tech-geek always seeking for the latest and greatest. Rainer is married and father of a little girl and he speaks fluently German, French, Spanish and English.
