Assam, India - March 21, 2024 - NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health and the Smily Academy are proud to announce a groundbreaking three-year partnership focusing on One Health and the indigenous factor. The partnership was formalised during the inaugural learning experience aimed at training ecopreneurs in Assam, India.
Led by Professor Sumantra Ray, representing NNEdPro, and Professor Claudia Laricchia, on behalf of the NGO Indigenous People's Climate Justice Forum, guided by Rituraj Phukan and co-founded by The Forest Man of India, Jadav Payeng, this alliance signifies a pivotal moment in advancing and going beyond the sustainable development goals.
Professor Ray expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "The Smily Academy embodies an unparalleled platform for knowledge, technology, and wisdom transfer to empower ecopreneurs in establishing innovative eco-businesses. NNEdPro is committed to supporting this visionary initiative and the remarkable individuals driving it forward."
Professor Claudia Laricchia emphasised the significance of the partnership in accelerating the impact of indigenous regenerative development models rooted in One Health principles. She remarked, "Our Indigenous NGO, under the guidance of Rituraj Phukan and Jadav Molai Payeng, is honoured to join forces with NNEdPro. This alliance amplifies our efforts to create meaningful change through scientifically-driven indigenous practices. In recognition of their outstanding contributions, NNEdPro has appointed Rituraj Phukan and Matteo Salerno, co-founders of the Smily Academy, as members of the Strategic Collaborative Partners Network (SCPN) alongside professor Claudia Laricchia, who has been serving in this capacity for the past two years.
This partnership marks a significant step towards fostering collaboration between diverse stakeholders in advancing Health, nutrition, and sustainability globally.
