iStarter, the Italian Accelerator based in London invests in Clhub
[Capoterra] - 05 October 016 - iStarter therefore decided to join the Sardinian venture incubator that now sees an increase in its share of capital and a new important figure within the board of directors.
After the investment round in this year on March with the Apodaca Family Fund in USA, Clhub closes another deal with iStarter, extending in this way its international relationships.
This Deal will allow both companies to build a bridge between Italy and London, the Innovation epicentre in Europe, by facilitating the internationalization of every Startup in Clhub’s portfolio and of every other company in other divisions.
The Deal has been made official at this present date by Simone Ciminelli, Co-Founder and Managing Director in iStarter, with Clhub’s board now composed by Simone Ciminelli, Riccardo Sanna (Clhub CEO), Giovanni Sanna (Executive Chairmen) and Andrew Apodaca (International Business Developer).
iStarter is the accelerator that provides seed capital, its own experiences and knowledge to help Startuppers and Entrepreneurs through its network of young professionals and senior advisors.
Clhub is the venture Incubator that has as primary focus the investment in the made in Italy, both with digital startups and also with more classical industries and non digital businesses or ventures like food and design.
With the headquarter in Capoterra, not distant from the beautiful seaside and Cagliari, and with the other American branch based in Santa Monica (California), Clhub is the only Italian incubator born with the investment of private american investors.
Clhub points for a professional and qualified development of startups within national boundaries, for this reason tandems alongside the same startups with an incubation program that starts from the idea and concept of the project and goes through every step to the finalization with the market launch.
The incubation program starts with a cash-on-hand investment plus different services provided by Clhub, some of those services are mentorship, networking, fundraising, business, marketing, Web development, legal C
consulting and many other services provided within its spaces and offices (over 400 square meters).
Simone Cimminelli, Co-Founder and Managing Director of iStarter, is from 2010 the CEO of SIS, investments and Development company. He has a long experience in International management and different investment in Private Equity. Previous experiences also are the Auditing services and Investment banking with respectively Deloitte and Mediobanca. Also he covered managerial positions within family companies. He is also a business angel active in Italy and London.
The Agreement
One of the reasons that pushed istarter to invest in Clhub is the strong integration between both companies’ businesses: Clhub is in fact the figure that brings the idea from seed to concretization and launch, then iStarter comes in, takes the startup and launch it into the international markets with an A round series funding.
With this investment Clhub and iStarter will now be able to study a unique development process that has as aim helping startups from the idea to market with a scalable and validated Business Model.
Simone Cimminelli has stated: “Clhub is a project of great ambition. We believe in the potential of the innovation made in Sardinia and Clhub’s Management”.
iStarter will then make available to Clhub its startups portfolio and its know-how and international network of young professionals and senior advisors.
The investment will be introduced on October 13 during the Private Event “Sardinia Goes Global”, who will take place in the Italian Embassy in London, with the willing of introducing the Clhub as an investment opportunity to the Community in London.
The event has been organized through the partnership of the Italian Embassy, that will host iStarter and Clhub with the sponsorship of the “Regione Autonoma della Sardegna” (Autonomous Region of Sardinia) and the participation of Veranu and Moneyfarm.
Will be present at the event also “Italia Startup” as Partner of the Event.
