UNIDO ITPO Italy ha ospitato una delegazione dalla Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran
Roma, 26-28 giugno 2018. Nel quadro del proprio progetto “Supporto alle PMI dell’Iran attraverso la promozione degli investimenti e del trasferimento tecnologico nei settori energia e ambiente”, finanziato dal Ministero Italiano dell’Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare, UNIDO ITPO Italy ha ospitato una delegazione istituzionale e commerciale proveniente dall’Iran, composta da 4 rappresentanti delle istituzioni e associazioni iraniane di maggior rilievo, nonché da 3 dirigenti aziendali.
In particolare, hanno preso parte alla missione i rappresentanti del Department of Environment (DoE), dell’Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI), della Camera di Commercio di Tehran e dell’Association of Iran Recycling Industries.
Nel primo giorno di attività, UNIDO ITPO Italy ha organizzato presso la propria sede la Tavola Rotonda “Opportunità di investimento in Iran nei settori dell’energia e dell’ambiente”, aperta con i discorsi di benvenuto da parte del Direttore di UNIDO ITPO Italy, dott.ssa Diana Battaggia, e del Rappresentante dell’Ambasciata della Repubblica Islamica dell’Iran, Mr. Abbas Naderi, cui sono seguite le osservazioni del dott. Giovanni Brunelli, Direttore della Divisione Affari Internazionali del Ministero dell’Ambiente.
Il Forum si è articolato in due sessioni, la prima dedicata al workshop “Le opportunità e le sfide della valorizzazione energetica dei rifiuti in Iran”, che ha reso possibile un confronto sulle sfide e le soluzioni relative alla questione della gestione dei rifiuti in Iran: le istituzioni locali hanno presentato i propri mandati e funzioni, mentre le aziende italiane hanno illustrato le tecnologie che hanno sviluppato nel settore Waste-to-Energy. Nel pomeriggio, la seconda sessione, è stata specificatamente dedicata alle opportunità di investimento in Iran, individuate da UNIDO ITPO Italy nei settori dell’energia e dell’ambiente, con il fine di rafforzare le relazioni di lavoro ed esplorare potenziali collaborazioni future. In questa occasione, i dirigenti di due aziende iraniane hanno mostrato le proprie proposte nel settore.
Nei giorni successivi, UNIDO ITPO Italy ha favorito una serie di incontri tra i rappresentanti iraniani e gli stakeholders di riferimento quali: la Camera di Commercio Italia-Iran, l’azienda italiana Ecoimpianti, che ha presentato una vasta gamma di soluzioni, attrezzature e servizi in grado di risolvere le problematiche relative alla protezione delle risorse, allo smaltimento dei rifiuti, al rispetto del territorio, e l’Italian Trade Agency (ITA), la quale ha illustrato le proprie iniziative per sostenere l’internazionalizzazione delle aziende italiane.
Le tre giornate di attività sono state organizzate e svolte in linea con gli obiettivi del progetto a favore del settore industriale iraniano, fornendo supporto alle autorità e al Governo dell’Iran nel rafforzare la competitività delle PMI locali identificando e promuovendo opportunità di investimento sostenibile e di trasferimento tecnologico.
Rome, 26-28 June 2018. In the framework of its project “Support to Iran’s SMEs through investment promotion and technology transfer in energy and environment”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea, UNIDO ITPO Italy hosted an institutional and business delegation from Iran, composed by 4 representatives of relevant institutions and associations, as well as 3 company managers.
In particular, the mission was attended by representatives from the Department of Environment (DoE), the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI), the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Iran Recycling Industries.
On the first day, UNIDO ITPO Italy organized in its premises the Round Table “Investment Opportunities in Iranian Energy and Environment Sectors” opened with the welcome speeches by the Head of UNIDO ITPO Italy, Ms. Diana Battaggia, and the representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Abbas Naderi, followed by the remarks of Mr. Giovanni Brunelli, Director of International Affairs Division of the Italian Ministry of Environment Land and Sea.
The forum was divided into two sessions, the first one was a workshop dedicated to “Waste to Energy opportunities and challenges in Iran”, that allowed to discuss about the challenges and solutions related to the waste management issue in Iran: local institutions presented their functions and mandates, while the Italian firms illustrated their technologies developed on Waste-to-Energy field. In the afternoon, the second part of the Forum, was specifically dedicated to the investment opportunities in Iran, scouted by UNIDO ITPO Italy in the energy and environment sectors, aiming at strengthening working relationships and explore potential future collaborations. On this occasion, the managers of two Iran companies showed their proposals in the field.
During the following days, UNIDO ITPO Italy favored meetings between the Iranian representatives and relevant stakeholders as: the Italy-Iran Chamber of Commerce, the Italian company Ecoimpianti, which presented a wide range of system solutions, equipment and services able to solve problems related to the protection of resources, waste disposal and respect for the territory, and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), which illustrated its initiatives to sustain the internationalization of Italian companies.
The three days activities have been in line with the purpose of the project, namely to support the Iranian authorities and Government in enhancing the competitiveness of local industrial SMEs by identifying and promoting sustainable investment and technology transfer opportunities
