TocTocBox is the first collaborative platform aiming to revolutionise the traditional freight market of goods between private persons, providing, with a consumer logic, a simple, economical and sustainable alternative to the existing parcel services.

The project is based on a business model that leverages the logic of the sharing economy and creates a virtual

encounter between users belonging to a community who have a particular resource with users who need to use that specific resource, in the time and manner required and at reasonable cost.

TocTocBox offers a high-tech service with a strong focus on user experience, that encourages the contact between users who want to ship goods and users who want to reduce travel costs, with the aim to innovate the market of goods shipment form private persons, making the users, for the first time, the delivery service users and performers. The TocTocBox virtual collaborative platform is accessible via web, via mobile desktop and tablet, and, compared to traditional shipping services, is:

• Easy, immediate and perceived as "personal and dedicated"; the procedure for the inclusion of routes and shipping is simple, clear and user-friendly. The indication of spaces and dimensions are run with the support of a photo, without limits of weight, size and shape;
• Economic: the rates are calculated according to a sharing logic to obtain a win-win situation for senders and
  Travelers. The cost will be suggested by the system based on the distance and the space occupied by the
  package according to a cost sharing logic: the sender will contribute to the Traveler’s travel costs and the
  payment will be made directly between users;
• Sustainable: shipments have zero additional impact on the environment, using and optimising journeys that
  travellers would make anyway;
• Reliable: the scoring system based on community-generated feedback guarantees the service quality.
  Moreover, through the "Tracking" option, the Traveler, by using the Mobile App, can provide a live update
  on the position of the object, improving the quality of the service and the level of security.
