RIELLO Premium Dual UPS

The new generation of ultra-compact and high efficient UPS.

Legnago, 10 October 2010. Through continuing research, Riello UPS, one of the world leaders in the manufacturing of UPS systems, has developed the new Premium Dual UPS line, characterised by dual conversion on-line technology, with a functional and modern design and power that goes from 1000VA to 3000VA in the top model.

There are four other models between 1000 and 3000VA that complete the series; ideal for powering a wide range of high-end professional devices that require absolute protection, including servers, storage systems, telecoms, VoIP, network systems and medical and industrial equipment. In particular, the Riello UPS Premium Dual systems are ideal for powering and protecting Blade Servers with high power factor suppliers.

With a height of only 2U, they are perfectly integrable in 19” rack cabinets, but thanks to their 90° rotatable synoptic panel, they can also be positioned in tower position on the floor.

“The newly-designed inverter is one of the best energy conversion systems on the market, thanks to a 0.9 output power factor and its 92% efficiency rate in On-Line operation,” comments Luca Buscherini, Product Marketing Director of Riello UPS. “What's more, we have further reduced operating costs thanks to six new functions, programmable from the synoptic panel, that allow the UPS to be configured according to the individual needs of the application”.

Riello UPS demonstrates their commitment to energy efficiency through a series of key Premium Dual features including Power Off and an Energy-Share function; where outlet sockets can be programmed to disconnect less critical loads in the absence of mains power. Batteries are hot-swappable (can be replaced by user without interruption) and through the separate battery boxes, autonomy can be extended without limit.

Premium Dual UPS systems share features with all the other Riello UPS products, such as Auto-restart when mains power is restored, Stand-by on Bypass, that automatically sets to bypass mode with the batteries charging when the machine is switched off, Minimum load switch-off, battery discharge alert, full control by microprocessors, and UPS firmware updating via PC. Premium Dual is equipped with the sophisticated supervision and shoutdown software Powerdhield³, compatible with all major commercial and professional OS platforms.
