UNIDO ITPO Italy promotes the participation to the X^ Edition of the International of Beirut Energy Forum - IBEF 2019
Rome, 28 June - In the framework of the environmental cooperation with Lebanon, UNIDO ITPO Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and the Sea (IMELS), the Italian Trade Agency (ICE Agenzia) and the ANIMA Confindustria Meccanica Varia association, promotes the participation to the X^ Edition of the International of Beirut Energy Forum - IBEF 2019, to be held in Beirut, at Le Royal Hotel, from 25th to 27th September 2019.
In Lebanon, one third of the energy consumed is produced by diesel generators. To cope with the serious issues of energy deficit, the Lebanese government has implemented multiple actions aimed at promoting energy efficiency and the production of energy from renewable sources. The primary objective of the second National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) is to reduce energy consumption: according the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), thanks to the planned NEEAP initiatives, the reduction should be of 17% by 2020.
"Future of Life in a Time of Planetary Changes" is the focus of the 10th Edition of the IBEF, a leading event in sustainable energy sector referring to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern area, which is aimed at facilitating partnerships, cooperation initiatives, regional and international collaboration in line with the aspirations of the country committed to deal with the challenges of digitalization of sustainable energy sector, so that becoming a lighthouse for the whole region.
Attending IBEF provides the opportunity to get in touch with institutional and business key players operating in this sector, a complete showcase to get the latest innovations, products and technologies of energy sector to highlight the different ways for improving quality, reducing costs and increasing productivity.
Italian companies can participate in dedicated BtoB meetings and exhibit their catalogs at the institutional booth which will be set up during the Forum. The participation in the Italian delegation also allows to have facilities for the entry fees.
