UNIDO ITPO Italy intervened at the UN Climate Change Conference – COP25 – in Madrid

Madrid, December 5th – UNIDO ITPO Italy was invited as speaker to the panel “Food, Water, Energy: How to Regenerate Earth through Innovation”, organized by Future Food Institute (FFI) and the Italian Ministry for the EnvironmentLand and Sea (IMELS) within the United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP25, convened in Madrid from 2-13 December 2019.

The event could count on the presence of relevant representatives from the private sector, international organizations and academia, such as ENEL, EY and FAO. The panel was the occasion for outlining the commitment of ITPO Italy on climate change, presenting the best innovative and sustainable ideas in agritech with an impact on the SDG13, scouted in occasion of the latest edition of our International Award in Agribusiness.

UNIDO ITPO Italy proudly participated to the panel, one of the most relevant in the nexus between agribusiness and climate change within COP25, confirming once again the role of food innovation and agritech as strategic drivers to unlock the untapped potential of developing countries in agribusiness and to catalyze a new generation of green and sustainable investment opportunities that leverage the ability of many countries to leapfrog into the future and fight against climate change.
