UNIDO ITPO Italy in Vicenza Oro 2019
In the framework of the collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and the Italian Trade Agency, UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in Vicenza Oro exhibition, assisting a Myanmarese delegation involved in the gems&jewellery sector.
The delegation, composed by rubies and sapphires mines owners, had the opportunity to join the booth handled by Assogemme, the Italian gems Association part of the Confindustria system. Several Italian exhibitors and visitors showed interest for Myanmar precious stones.
Moreover, Assogemme and UNIDO ITPO Italy organized the Conference “The colored gemstone transparency – The beginning of sustainable gem sourcing movement”, in order to present all the activities carried out in favor of Myanmar during last months, as well as further activities to organize in Mogok.
UNIDO ITPO Italy is also planning a training session on gems cutting, to be held in Mogok in November in cooperation with Assogemme.
