University of Bologna Rector since 1 November 2015. Originally from Perugia, where he was born on 6 February 1970, he is a full professor of Mechanics of Solids and Structures.
He held the positions of Head of the Department of Structural Engineering, Transport, Public Works, and Surveying of the Territory (DISTART), Head of the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM) and member of the Academic Senate of the University of Bologna.
